Hey y'all! It's Phoebe back with another post. In honor of it finally feeling like Fall (at least here in GA), I'm going to show you how to transform your bed or couch into an awesome reading area! First of all, this book nook is very cozy so it's perfect for the cold fall/winter nights and, second, it'll make you excited and encouraged to read more often! Also, this literally takes 15 minutes to construct and, if you don't want to always have it up, you can easily take it down and build it again. Let's get started! This is a picture of my bed. It's a bunk bed that my sister and I share and I sleep on the bottom! You can totally make this book nook with a regular bed but I worked with what I have. First, tie a solid silver sheet around your "anchor object" (I used the poles attaching the top and bottom bunks). Then, tie smaller blankets or sheets to close off any other open sides of the bed. On the side of the bed, put some of your favorite books in a basket or stack to have right there when you need 'em! Now for the interior! You can run wild with this and add whatever you want to make it ultra cozy. I have a quilt, cozy pillows, a few stuffed animals, yarn, knitting needles, and of course, more books! To make the books you're in the middle of super accessible, cut a long string of yarn, tie the edges to the sides of a small basket and hang it on a tack on one of your walls! (BTW, right now I have Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and Starry Rive of the Night Sky by Grace Lin in the basket!) For some wall decor, you can make a sign like I did to hang on a bare wall by your bed. I used an old piece of wood I found in our storage room and painted "Phoebe's Cozy Spot" on it. I used tacks to hang it and I just place a few cards and pictures there that describe me. If you want, you could paint a sign with a favorite book quote of yours on it (Click HERE for ideas)! I hope you enjoyed this post! If you try this out on your own bed, be sure to email our team at [email protected] with a picture. Seriously, this book nook is now one of my favorite places to read and hang out in at home:). ' Keep reading, Phoebe Comment of the day: Where's your favorite place to read?
